West Highland Way – Day 6 – Tyndrum to Inveroran

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA18,6 km – with Anna and Christian.
7:25h incl. 1:25h break

Big Joe fell in a coma some time after noon. It’s getting numb. Is that a good thing?

We left the Wigwams early to have breakfast in the Tyndrum’s Inn in Tyndrum. On this 4k walk we passed the half-way sign *woop woop*. At the Inn I felt a little misplaced. Far too chic and sterile for hikers with big backpacks, heavy, muddy boots, dripping from rain. I don’t think hikers belong to their usual clientele.Apart from the fact they I had the feeling that they didn’t want us to stay long…

Passing the foot of Beinn Odhar (901m) and Beinn Dorain (1076m) we all got very excited when we saw a train in the far distance, assuming it was the Jacobite, the model for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Expess. Well, coming closer we had to realize that it was a Deutsche Bahn cargo train…

Today it was grey, drizzly and later rainy but I so didn’t mind. It’s still absolutely beautiful. However, we took our chance to take a few nice pictures in the evening when it was all sunny.
