Weekly Photo Challenge: Shadowed

This week’s photo challenge is “Shadowed”:

Fire in Erg Chebbi

Author: Steffi

To every picture there is a story, right?
This one is the story of Arabian Nights. We visited Morocco for trekking and traveling and booked a night in Morocco’s Saharan desert Erg Chebbi. We went to the camp on camelback, and because it was low season, we had the entire camp for ourselves. After nightfall a bonfire was made for us, we had traditional Moroccan food under the stars and the Berber guys played some music on drums.

This picture shows the blaze of that bonfire.

Hi Janet, yes it was fantastic. Very cliché and corny. But I liked it. Especially because the camp wasn’t overrun by tourists.
