24h break

After last year’s monster walk in Lake District Black Sail Hut – Scafell Pike – Black Sail Hut we decided to take a rest day after 3 walking days. What a fine idea. We had a relaxing day by a little stream, reading, sleeping and literally putting up our legs. Hell, that day was gone like that *snap*.

Time to talk about Scottish traditions we encountered so far:

  • haggis: mashed potato, veggies and sheep’s innards ideally in a massive portion. Mmhh yummy.
  • whisky
  • bag pipes and kilts
  • Scottish breakfast: God, I love these potato scones!
  • Midges: how can these tiny beasts cause bites that are about 10.000 times bigger than themselves??
