West Highland Way – Day 5 – Inverarnan to Tyndrum

16,4 km – with Anna and Christian.
5:35h incl. 35min break

Big Joe was in a delirium, waking up every now and then, claiming attention but then went to sleep again. I’m feeling okay today. We met 3 guys from London today who are doing the WHW in 4 days. Holy crap. That’s about a marathon every day. And they were so English. They invited us for a cup of tea, taking out their camping stove, camping cups and PG tea bags and so we had tea in the middle of the woods shortly after Bogle Glen. Fantastic!

Around 3pm we arrived at our accommodation for this night – the Strathfillan Wigwams. Cute from the outside, … cosy … from the inside. Equipped with pillows and sleeping bags you have the ultimate “Glamping” experience (“a glamorous way to camp” *coughs*) including back pain from these gym mattresses. They don’t offer proper breakast or dinner but they have a farmshop and a cooking facility where we bought and prepared pasta for dinner.

For our entertainment Christian brought dices to play Yahtzee. And we found out why: he always wins!
